Coppell is a city in the northwest corner of Dallas County in Texas was settled by German and French immigrants in the 1840s. The town was named after George Coppell, wealthy financier from England who came to the U.S. in the 1880s and was reportedly heavily involved with the final construction of the local railroad line.
